The Boulevard Lifestyle Center
Conceived as a lifestyle center, the project’s master plan consists of a mixed-use development on approximately 28 acres located adjacent to the Rome’s State Mutual Stadium, also known as the home of the Rome Braves. Designed as a destination experience for implementation in three phases, the first phase is a pedestrian oriented stroll along a tree-lined promenade through gardens and courtyards which create the core aesthetic for a variety of architectural styles and shops ranging from 500 to more than 3,000 square feet. This village-like atmosphere establishes a means for the larger stores to be organized through pedestrian oriented details and walkways. Phases two and three are organized for destination restaurants, theaters, grocery stores, and even a medical building designed to tailor to special needs patients associated to the future Miracle Fields planned for an adjacent parcel.
The project master plan includes trail access to the adjacent river walk which connects to downtown Rome. Sustainable development strategies include low impact development of the site and LEED Certification of the buildings, with enhanced day-lighting in the retail buildings, energy efficient systems, site management of waste water and retention for irrigation, regional materials, and access to alternate transportation sources.
