Back To Residential - Multi-Family

Hawthorne Gate Townhomes

Conceived as an upscale townhome neighborhood, the Hawthorne Gate master plan consists of twenty-eight units organized into six building clusters. The design references classic brownstone architecture and incorporates regional elements such as porches, balconies and verandas. The design style is a direct response to design goals from the city’s planning and zoning department and community for an aesthetic appropriate to this part of the city.

All units have three levels of living and include landscaped “green” roofs combined with modular wood deck roof-top patios. The interiors are organized with flex space on the lower level, living, kitchen and dining rooms on the main level, and bedrooms on the upper level. Features include nine and ten foot ceilings, a two car garage, and an optional elevator.

Units are twenty-two, twenty-four or twenty-six feet wide. The twenty-two foot unit offers two master suites and an open loft-like floor plan on the main level with a forty-eight foot long wall of shelving, display and storage accessed by a sliding library ladder. The twenty-four foot unit offers options for two or three bedrooms and features a semi-open floor plan on the main level. Living spaces and circulation utilize ceiling articulation to reinforce spatial sequence and definition. The twenty-six foot unit is sited as a gateway to the neighborhood. This unit includes three bedrooms, a grand entry foyer and stair, a large kitchen and keeping room, and a two story wrap-around porch.
